We thought everything would be back to normal. Not quite. No more needle but there was this thing called phone call from the embryologist. We got so excited when her phone rings. No others call nowadays.
“Hello?” My wife put her on loudspeaker.
On that black Friday, at 930 am, 16 eggs were extracted. Of which, 12 were mature. 8 then fertilised.
The embryologist also told us that the fertilisation was done by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) due to the quality of the sperm. For once, I was so happy about it. Why? If sperm quality was the reason she was not pregnant, then we got the problem resolved.
We have 8 babies (not quite accurate, they are embryos).
